Praise For Farmers Of New Zealand

Referring to the fact that New ZeaJand exported to the United Iving dom during 1947 over 6,500,000 cwt. of meat, 127,00b tons of butter and 87,000 tons of cheese, the chairman of the New Zealand Loan and MereantikAgency Limited, Mr. W. E. H. Tatham. said in a report presented at the annual' meeting of the company in London: " Ihese are^ remarkable achievements for a country whose total population is fewer than 2,000,000 and whose area is much the same as that of the United Ivingdom. They are a great tribute to the energy and skill of farmers and to the productivity pf the land.
