Since it was announcod that extn. newspriiit was to bo made available, many newspapers have beon protnising their roaders bigger, better an'd brighter editions. The change allows an increase in size to-six pagos three times a week for those dailies which had endeavoured to inaintuin their circulation by a smallef edilion; and for those which had retained the six pages and allowed their circulation to fall it means an increased number of copies. Judging by the first issues, most oi the popular papers have plumped for feature articlos on a variety of subjeets to fill their extra pages, and some have also reintroduced strip cartoons. Particular attention appears to have i>een paid to articles for women, wliile i , the spaee devoted to sport has alsoj: been increased.
