Strange Court Behaviour Of Accused Man
WELLINGTON, Jan, 6 A Maori truck driver named John Reremoana Tame, aged 29, who was charged in the Magistrates' Court today with the murder of two women and a boy at OnepUhi on December 29, greeted the magistrate, Mr. J. S. Hanna, with a ioud "Hullo." He told police constables that he wahted to take his shoes off and theh broke into the strains of a well-known modern song. Tame wafe remanded to appear at Marton on January 13. While with constables im the back of the courtroom waiting for Mr. Hanna to appear, Tame, with a dead flower in the lauel of his nin-striped grey suit, kent* up the motions of smoking'with a piece of wood. He took his shoes off, wanted to take his coat off and frequently burst into song.
