Britain opens the New 'Year with relatively small stoeks of commercially held eombing wools although clothing tvpes are in somewhat better supply. Ordinarv eommercial caution may compel firms to buv wool only against foieseeable requirements and avoid carrying heavy stocks at today's priees, but Britain 's wool eonsumptiou remains heavy and active buying against delinite needs is assured.
