Unrest Among Hospital Doctors
AUCKLAND, Dec. 20. "There is quite an amount of unrest among members of the full-time uiedical staff at the continued delay in the announcement of new salary scales, " said the chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board (Mr. J. Grierson) at tonight's Ijoard meeting. Dissatisfaction with tlie present saiaries when c-ompared with those obtained by. doctors in private practice had resulted in four highly quallfled nienibers of the Board 's stalf intimating that they were consideriug rosigning. A letter received from the full-time uiedical stalf stated that the doctors hoped their patience had not been in vain and that the Board was syrnpathetic to its claiins. The Board decided to inform its stalf of its sympatliy in its desire to have saiaries increased and to assure them it vvould do everything in its power to en- ' sure that adequate saiaries would be paid.
