Received Monday, 8.50 p.m. SYDXEY, Dec. 20. The Indonesian situation will be discussed at an early date by the central executive of the" Seamfen's Union;' aecording to the general secretary, Mr. E. V. Elliott, who «nd: "The union initiated the black ban on Dutch ship.« in September, 1945, at the request o. the Indonesian Seamen 's Union. We have had no request to date on the present situation from this union." He added that he did not know whether there were any Dutch ships trading with Indonesia at present in Australian ports. It was stated in Canberra today that Australia is not taking a direct part in the diseussions on the Dutch-Indonesian conflict. Australia not being a member of; the Security Council could onh express its viewpoint tlirough Britain.
