The nuniber of families on the records was 194 and the nuniber of children 299. Material assistance given to children during the year aniounted to £1995 15s (>\1. Uranus in aul are classi4ied under the following headings: — Education £659 14s 8d, health and holidays £347 5s lld, removal expenses £14 8s 6d, Christmas and birthday presents £168 2s 5d, clothing and outlits £172 9s 9d, supplements to living expenses £118 6s 4d, tools of trade £37 6s 9d, expenses of sending ehild overseas for treatment £426 17s 2d,^unclassified expenditure £51 4s; total £1995 15s 6d.
