i M.-G.-M.'s - sparkling technicolor musical "This Time For Keeps," commences on Saturday at the Civic Theatre, starring Esther Williams, Jimmy Durante, Lauritz Melchoir, Johnnie Johnston an'd Xavier Cugart and his orchestra. It's big, it's rc-mantic, it's tunefu1 — but most of all, it's ; howlingly funny, with Durante at j his uproarious best in the role of an acquatic star's- self-appointed guardian ever on the alert to keep. the "wolves" away from the giiT" he adores. Johnnie Johnston is one "wolf" who Slips by Durante's keen nose straight into 4;he arms of attractive Esther, but not until a few co-mplications are out of the iway — one of them being a society igirl whom Melchoir, playing Uohnnie's opera-star father, has I chosen as his son's bride.
