Big Increase Probable In Size Of Hamilton

HAMILTON, Dec. 9. If the provisional .findings of the Local Bodies Commission are adopted, the area of Hamilton City will be over half again as big as at present. A further 840 houses will be incorporated in the city boundaries. while the population of the city proper will be increased by over 3000. Hamilton City at present comprises over 3795 acres and the recommendations provide for another 1984 acres to be added. Hamilton City proper will have its population increased from an estimated 24,500 to 27,500, and it will iump from tenth on the list of cities and boroughs to seventh place in the Dominion.
