Argus Unable To Go With All Blacks
WELLINGTON, Dec. 8. W. G. Argus, the Canferbury wing three-quarter, today advhed the New Zealand Rugby Union that he will not be available to tour South ,Africa with the All Blacks next year. His withdrawal was accepted with regret and' Mr. A. McDanald, chairman of the selectidn committee, wag' asked at today's meeting of the executive to take steps to fill the vacan'cy in qonsultation with his fellowselectors, Messrs. N. A, McKenzie and H. S. Strong, When the team was chosen, Mr. McDonald stated that reserves had been picked for every position. Tt> will be necessary" for the selectoxs to decide; however, which of the standby wingers is best suited to feplace Argus.
