A large an'd appreciative audience saw the play. ' The performers entered thoroughly into the spirit .of the play, the portrayal of the principal eharacter, Alice, by Jim Tait, being. padticUldfly piedsing. Ahl those taking part acquitted themseives with credit. Vefy feffective episodes were the mad tba paffy, the dance of the gryphon and the' mock turtle and the ' trial scene. An .energetic workihg bee' on Satufday morning saw to it that the petformance ^vas ade'quately arid artistically staged. Thfe sttccesi of the evehing was due to the liri'biring e^orts of Mrs., R., W. Green (cubmistress/ , assisted ( by Mrs, Tait, Miss JamieSon (assistant cubmistress) dnd. a band of willing workers. Between the acfs bagpipe selections were played. by Mr. W. Swan and Messrs.
