The .present hall committee, assisted by the Moutoa residents, have been hard at work making the final arrangements, and many ex-Moutoa residents have indicated their intention of being" present. 'Admission is by invitatioh. Russian Books Ih Library At a recent meeting of the Shannon Borough Council; CT. V. J. Bateman stated that he had received complaints regarding the number of books by RuJ3ian authors at present in the Shannon Library, and he asked the library committee if this was correct. Cr. L. G. Sayer said that he did not think there werq any great number of Russiari books in the library, and those that were on the shelves were not of a Communistic nature. He 'did not think there were any more books by Russian authors than by those of any other country. Cr. H. L. Norris, chairman of the library committee, endorsed Cr. Sayer's remarks and said that he understood that one book with the word "Russia" in big type on the front cover had • attracted attention. None of the books were of a Communistic nature, concluded Cr. Norris.
