Station Cattle The Main Interest At Feilding
Altliough there was not a large nt- , tendance of the public at yeslerduy 's ; live stock sale in Feilding main inter- j est centrod on the offering oi station j cattle vhicli included several pens ot ; .fiorward coudition bullocks. While the j tone -was not quite so free- ' prices showed lio cliange ou iate rates and niost of the cattle were disposed of under the hammer. Top price was £18 2s f 9 v n line ot 3 and 4-year A.A. bullocks which while not large in the niatter of frames, were in good order. W other mutton was a matter of 2s a head dearer than last week on a sniall yarding but lioggets and ewes were easier. Prices in the store sheep departnient were weaker due to the absence of quality. Fat Sheep. The only noticeable cliange in values, : in the fat sheep pens was a (irmiug in wether- mutton prices. The olVering tot'alled just over 400 head, ntore than half being wethers mostly in good order but all sold well. Tlie realisations AVere: iSIaiden ewes, 4 at 34s 10d, 8 at 31s 4d; Down cross 2-tlis, S) at 35s 7d, 5 at 34s lOd; hoggets, 12 at 37s 4d, 21 at 37s 4d, 14 (woolly) at 51s lOd; wethers, 2 at 37s 4d. 16 at 41s 10d, 25 (2-th) at 37s lOd, 16 (4-tli) at 41s ld, 10 at 38s 7d, 25 at 27s 10d, 7 at 37s 7d, 25 at 38s 7d, 22 at 4.1s 4d, 10 at 39s. 7d ; ewes, 14 at 26s lOd, 15 at 25s 9d, 4 at 20s 4d, 20 at 26s ld, 13 at 1 22s lOd, 24 at 26s 4d. Store Sheep. The quality offeriug in the store sheep section was mostly ot' a mediun: t-o inferior order and vendors were iuclined to expect too niuch for their sheep.
