Eleven Fishermen Die Of Exhaution And Cold
Reeeived Friday, 7.50 p.m. LONDON, Dee. 3. Eleven Grimsby fishermen "died from exhaution and eold while waiting in a hlinding blizzard for rescue after their trawler, the 297-ton Sargon, was stranded in Patrek's Fjord, Western Iceland. on Wednesday night, says Reuter 's Reykjayik correspondent. Six members of the crew survived but were so exhausted that thej' could not write their names. They are being cared for ashore. The Associated Press 's Reykjayik correspondent says one of the Victims was washed overboard in heavy seas and tlie other ten died on board tlie vessel from exhaution. The six survivors used their last strength to crawl into the' rescue chair whieh swung them ashore. The trawler is a total wreck.
