Native Flora Club Elects New Officers
The recent annual meeting of the Levin Native Fiora Club was .well attended", though a considerable number of regular members were unavoidably absent. Officers for the ensuing year V/ere elec'ted as follows: — Pa-troness: MrS. W. Lett; president: Mr. I. D. Parsons;. vieepresidents: Mrs. I, D. Parsons and Messrs. W. H. Griffiths and J. F. ■Bryce; hon. treasurer: Mr. W. H. Leach; hon. . secretary: Mrs. W. puguid; hon. auditor: Mr. J. A. Goodwin. Meetings and outings will be -held on the same days as previnusly, with the exception that once a quarter a Saturday outing will be arranged, when it is hoped to see more members of the junior club. Owing to Christmas, there will be no meeting of the club in December. An ou'ting to Mr. S. L. Jackson's place, at Whirokino, has been arrangdd for December 12. The members will meet as usual at the Levin Post Office at 10 a.m. By & coincidence, this date is the eigh'tb anniversary of the first meeting convened for the formation of the club. Mrs. Lett is kindly giving a cake to celebrate the club's eight years of activity. The January outing to a stream in the Tararua foothills will be on January 23, while the usual monthly meeting will be on January 27.
