Display Of Gwen Knight Art For Levin
The annpuncement that a display of art work from the hand cf Miss Gwen Knight is to be staged at Horowhenua College on Tuesday night will be welcomed by many, coming as it does at a time when there is a very great need to foster an interest in the fihe arts. Miss Knight spent 15 years in Europe, working with Frances Hodgson, and returned to New Zea- : land at the beginning of 1948. She has held exbibitions in Wellington, 'Masterton, Palmerston North and Wanganui. It is hoped that Miss Knight will be present on Tuesday evening. HThe exhibition is. being sponsored by the Levin Rotary Club as the initial move in the formation of a society of fine arts in Levin. Citizens interested in this project are invited to attend and hear more of it.
