NEW PLYMOUTII, Nov. 30. Two members of the Taranaki Alpine Ciub, (Messrs D. Darlev and K. Lus combe, spent a night on (Mount Egmoni in Eskiino style, burrowed "igloo" fashion 15 feet into the snow and ice ot Snow Yalley at an altitude of aliout ()500 feet. They passed such a comfori able night that tliey intend speiuling their nights on Egmont in the saim headijuarters for the rest of the spring skiing-season. After reading an article in a skiing and mountaineering magazine about sleeping on mountains, the two men decided to try it out oji Egmont. At the end of a tunnel, which took some hours to dig, they liollowed out a sinai) cave. There, wearing ordinary mouu tain c.lothes, thcv slept on ground sheet> 011 the snow, warm, and free ot dniughts. Their "igloo" is in the imddJe o. Snow Yalley, oue of the mountain's bcst skiing grounds.
