CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 1. One person was killed and three injured when two cars collided at the interseetion of the Main North Road and Waikuku Beaeh Road early this evening. The vietims were: — Killed yncs. A. EEID, aged 57, married, of Waikuku Beacli. Injured Thomas Reid, husband of Mrs. Reid. .T. IMunro, of Blenheim. ^Irs. T. E. Sraith, of' Blenheim. Heavy rain, was .falling at Ih.e. £ime of the accident. Mr. Munro and Mrs. Hmith were passengers in the car driven by JMr. II. W. Rutledge, of Blenheim Mr. and Mrs. Reid were travelling in a light car which turned over several times and came to rest on its hood.
