AUCKLAND, Nov. 30. Two raids by the polit-c on a liouse in Baker Stroet withi-n oue week, were described by Sub-Tnspector .Munro in the Police Court when Margaret Raymond Antliony Zeilenski, aged 44, a married woman, appeared on three eharges of selling liquor without a licence and two of keeping liquor for sale. "This particular house has been giving the special duties branch some trouble aiul concern, " said Bub-In-spector Munro. "It seems to be the rendezvous for young Maori girls. 1 cannot understand why the IMaori wolfare ofificers do not seek the assistance of the police in a matter like this." Aecused's counsel said it. was her first offence. He asked for lenioncy on each of the two eharges. Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., sentenced Mrs. Zeilenski to one month 's imprisonment, the terms to be cumulative, and fined her £20 on another. On the others, she was eonvicted and discharged. Counsel intimated that defendant intended to appeal against the sentences, commenting that he tvas able to view the matter in the liglit of fuller information than was before the Magistrate.
