Mr. and Mrs. Gordon, of Otaki; were the weekend guests .of Mrs. Gordon's parents, Mr. and Mrs. 33. J. Gunning, Stout Street. Former residents of Shannon, Mr. and Mrs. Harold 'Hardie, now of Stratford, spent a few days in Shannon last . week visiting their old frfends in this district. The friends of Mr. T. Pratt, of Thompson Street, will be pleased to learn' that he has returned home after spending some time as an irimate of the Palmerston North- Hospital. Mrs. J. Hallam, who is g patient of a Palmerston North private hospital, is now progressing favourably^. Her many, fidends join in wishing.'her a speedy recovery to health.
