Another entertaining and varied programnie was presented at the. evening sports/ held under the ' auspices of the Otaki Amateur and Cycling Club, at the Otaki Domain on Wednesday. Cycle riders wei'e not as numer-! ous as at the previous meeting, but all events were, nevertheless/ keenly contested; as were all flat taces, ohe of which drew a field of no less than 50 starters. Junior girls' 75 "yards. — Valerie Larkin 1, Adrienne Cook 2. - Junior boys' 75 yards. — First 'heat: Pat Ludlam 1, Aku Bisnop , '2, Huia Cootes 3. Second heat: Meta Davis' 1, Pat Tetau 2, Cliff Taucher 3. The final resulted in a dea'd heat between Da'vis and, Taucher, with Ludlam third. Boys' half mile cycle race, j roadsters only. — First heat: Geo.i Brunell 1, Bob Seal 2, Leo. Blanche1 3. Second heat: Brian Biils 1, Roni Burgess 2, Lock. Fox 3. Tne final 1 saw Bills romp home 20 lengths in front of Fox, with Blanche 10 lengths away third. Junior half mile cycle. — R. Collis 1, A. Brooks 2, B. Bartosh 3. Won nicely; time, 1.12.
