At the inaugural meeting of the Tasman ^Beach Women's Institute, held in the Beach . Hall, Mrs. Eggars, the Voluntary Organiser for the Southern Wellington Federation, presided. After, tharikirig those present for the invitation to . attend, she aske'd if it wa's their wish to form an institute. It was moved and seconded that an -institute be formed, and Mrs. W. Clark was asked to record the minut.es. Officers were elected as follows: — President: Mrs. j. H. McConville; vice-presidents: Mesdames D. McCready and A.- MHawkins; secretary: Miss Pat. Fogden; treasurer: Mrs. R. Dunearn Arrangements were made to' meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. Mrs. Powell, president of the federation was then intf'oduced to the newly-fqrmed ' institute and expressed her pleasure, .atli.bein^/ present and wished them-.yeve^ j success, with a" special 'wclc$»e$H/' Mrs. J.
