Details of games are as fpllows: Weraroa v. Levin Weraroa had a straight-out win over Levin, beating them by 45 runs. Baumber took the ffonours in the bowling, oapturing Six of Weraroa's wickets for 3Q runs. . Levin replied with 88, F. Baumber contributing 34 in a .bright knock/ Lambert scored 18 runs . in fairiy fast time. Saunders prove'd himself a sound bowler, taking flye Wickets for 18 runs, De Castro took three for six. and Ryder two for 12. College v, Shannon Shannon's eight-point over the College first eleven-"was by the comfortable margm qf 86 runs. Shannon batted first and placed 59 runs on the board of which Roach was respcmsihle fqr 17, Harris 12 and Clough 19- Fme Bowling by Andrews *was a featnre Qf the first innings, and he accounted for six wickets at a cost of 14 f'uns. College failed in their batting, however, and were dismissed for 32,' McCiune, who contrihuted eight, was the only batsman to get anything near double figures. Shannon only used two bowlers t'nroughout the match, and in this Innings Harris took three for 17 and Moore four for 11. The other two batsmen were run out. Shannon declared with nine wickets down for 79 in their second innings, Harris hitting up a useful 22, Fufler 16 and Pope 14. Fuller's total included two sixers. in the bowfing, Lang took two for none off one over, while three .wickets fell to Ball for ten runs. Again College failed -to make any worth while score, only adding another 21 ruhS- Of these, Andrews made six. Harris and Mfiore dividp'd the bowling between them and took six wickets for eight runs and four for 11 respectively. Old Boys v. Otaki Otaki defbated Old Boys by- 116 runs in a one innings game, Otaki's knock closed for 178, setting Old Boys a solid task. High--light qf the day wa's the brifiiant batting of Rice, .who contributed 98. This included no less than six sixers, Ahern turned in 32 and Kirk 18 -(not out) . Both Rice and Ahern were extrepieiy lucky,- as poor fielding on the part of Old Boys resulfed in several -catches being dropped. Lynch's- four for 34 and Gardiner's three' fqr 62 would have been a lot bctter had the fielding been up to the usual standard. Barraud took two for 41. Old Boys' batting was fiOt strong and they managed to get only 62, D. Clapcott batted well and hit several boundaries for a total -Qf 39. There were nQ other double figure scores. O'Brien bowied well for Otaki to take four wickets for six runs. College A v. Otaki Otaki beat^College A by six runa in one of the highest sporing matches of the day. College batted first and appeared to be well ahead with a t'otal of 132. Of this, Julius contrjbuted a fine knock of86 ,(not out), while Harvey made 18. Cook took four wickets for 2Q runs. Otaki, witfi the assistance of W, Royal and H. Cook, who made §6 and 29 respectively (retired), replied with 138 for nine wicketsFrederikson took one wicket for six runs, Young two for 29 and Harvey two for 47. College B v. Foxton College B beat Foxton by an innings and 26 runs Batting first, Foxton made 17- Tfie Colleae bowling was excellent and Satherly took three wickets for two runs, Shee four for one and Walker three for one. College lost eight wickets for 55 and then declared, Netten contributing 18 (retired) and McEwan 18. Rautahi tQQk five wickets fQP 16 runs. Foxton's second innings resulted in only an extra 18 runs. Cqleman took five wickets for four runs, Shee three for three and Satherly two for six.
