Fire Siren Soon Ready " The siren erected by the Shannon Volunteer Fire Brigade will soon be ready for use. This was hinted at by Cr; C.- G. Shopping Hours Discussed Following the receipt of a letter from the Shannon branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers, the Shannon Borough Council discussed the possibility of having t'he business premises of the town open during the lunch hour, from 12.30 to 1.30 p.m. After considerahle discussion, it was agreed that this was a matter for each individual businessman to jdecide and, on the motion of Cr. R. S. Downes, the letter was received.
