The artiele stated that the bombs exploded prematurely, The account of the test is said to be based on iuformation of a forrner Russian General Staff officer, Captain Silov, now reported to be working in Mouth America as an engineering chemist af'ter leaving Rusf^a with^false papers. Stalin and j\Car.shals Timoshenko and Voronov are said to heve been present at the test. Two bombs manufaetured at St. Erlitamak and Alta!, are reported to have been tested. They contained only 50 grammes of atouiie explosives.
