Watersiders And "Luxury Butter" Cargoes
WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. The National secretary of the New Zealand Waterside Workers' Union, Mr. T. Hill, in a statement today, said that the union ha'd received many congratulations since its president, Mr. H. Barnes, announced that the chances of loading "luxury cargoes" of butter for countries other than Britain while the present rationing was impose'd in New Zealand were exceedingly precarious. Mr. Hill also announced that the national office of the union had received letters and telephone messages supporting the organisation in its attitude that butter rationing should. end.
