Films Show Aspects Of Plant Life
The recent meeting of the Levin Native Flora Club took a different form than usual. A series of short sound films demonstrating various aspects of plant life were shown. A high degree of magnification, coupled with the speeding up of the "growth," brought such familiar plants as lupin and toadstoolg into a new light. The whole life cycles of these plants were shown in a few minute's. Clear explanations in non-technical langiiage clarified each point demonstrated, making an evening of instruction and enjoyment. The next outing of the club is planned for November 21, when members wishing to visit some bush at Poroutawhao are meeting at the Levin Post Office at 10 a.m. The next meeting of the club will be held on November 25 and will be the annual meeting.
