Lady Bowlers Entertain Mrs. W. Lett
Members of the Levin Ladies' Bowling Club this week expressed* their high regard for one of the' earliest members of the club, Mrs.l W. Lett, when they entertained j her at an afternoon tea party in celebration of her birthday. During the function, the president, Mrs. C. Gibson, presented Mrs. Lett with a spray of flowers and a gift on behalf of the club. On behalf of the Karaka Lodge! Bowling Club, Miss H. E. Bowen, also paid a tribute to .Mrs. Lett' and expressed her club's bestj wishes. A cake made by Mrs. W.; Sharp took pride of place on ,the! table. " . Replying, Mrs. Lett thanked the club for its gesture and also Mrs. Sharpe for making the cake. Last Thursday two rinks from1 the Levin Ladies' Bowling Club visited Shannon for the opening j of the club there. Last week the.j Lett Broaches were won by Mes^ dames Lester and Moss. . ^
