Death Of Mr. C. C. Holmes

The death occurred suddenly in Wellington yesterday morning of Mr. Colin C. Holmes, a well-known farmer of "Waiora," in the Otaki district aged 66 years. The late Mr. Holmes, who was a grandson of the late Hon. Matthew Holmes, M.L.C., was in Wellington on business, and at the time of his death was in the act of writing a cheque. Deceased was very well-known in the Horowhenua and Manawatu ■districts, and at one time took an active interest in local body affairs. He leaves a widow and an adult familly of three.
