Mr. and Mrs. Thornton, of Christchurch, have been. visiting their daughter, Mrs. R. Lester, of Mangaore. Mrs. s. James, of Palmerston North, was a visitor to Shannon over the weekend as the guest of her sister, Mrs. S. Morrison.
