WELLINGTON, Nov. 2. Augtnented train services for Christmas holiday st ason were annnoftnced ('iiiigl)t by Mr. Semple. As already an-noiiin-ed, the Limited expresses between Wellington tuni Auckbind will run dailv exeept Saturdays, from Noven: ber 28. Three traihs eaeh way between Wellington. and Auckland are planned for Wi-dnesday, Deeember 22, four trains eai-h way on Deeember 28, and iive trains each way on Deeember 24. Tliere will be augmented services on the otlier linos with relief trains on tlie prin«*i]ial routes as holiday peak tratlic demands, Jji the Soutli Island the 8.85 a.m. Ohrist chureh-Invereargill and 7 a.m. In vereargilbLyt telton wharf express trains, will run dailv from Deeember 21 to Tuesday, January 11, suppleruented by Christchureh-Duuedin and Diinedin-Ohristi-hurcl] trains daily exi*e j.t Christmas Dav. There will be additional night expresses at the holidtiy Jieak. Extra trains will also run on other Sonth Island lines. To enable intending passengers to make bookings as early as possible, reservations will continue to be accepteci four weeks ahead of the travel clate with two davs' grace for applieations tit stations other than the seat ailotting slation. Special provision has been niinle to enable passengers to apply for reservations for the return journey at ihe same time as tliey obtain outward reservations.
