Received Tuesdav, 12.15 a.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 1. Clouds and some rain marred tluobservation in many parts of Australia, of the partial eclipse of the sun and from the laymau's point of view there was little to see. From the scientifio angle the results were disappoiiitijig Init valuhble photographs were taken from Sydney and from the Mt. Stromolo Observatory at Canberra. A series of radio tests were carried out by officers of the Council of Scientific and lmlustrial Researcli located in various places in Australia. Their object was to determine what radio noises emanat ed from the sun as a mass and how much came from sunspots.
