ARABS SHORTEN LINES.

Received Tuesday, 12.30 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 1. The Arab Liberation Army ordered a sliortening of its lines in Northern Palestine after a lieavy Jewish attack supported by planes, tanks and armoured cars, vvliich is stated to have given the Jews complete control of Galilee, according to Reuter's Damaseus correspondent. Alessages from the Arab Liberation Army state that the Jews attacked from the east, west and south in the Nazareth atea and Jewish planes bombarded "peaceful villages." Reports add that the aircraft demolished great . numbers of villages. Arab Liberation Army troops eyacuated advanee posts and withdrew to new defence lines. • The reports say United Nations' observers witnessed the attack. The Syrian Prime Minister, Jamil Mardam Bey, said he was awaiting the results of the Beeurity Council debate and the discussion of the Arab League Council. He claimed that the Jews had violated the truce on all fronts "without any reaetion in the international committee. "
