Sting in Its Tail
COLOMBO, Nov. 1. The British Commonwealth was preparing a "fine sting in its tail for anyone who should contemplate starting another war," said Sir Henry Tizard, Britain's chief Government adviser on science, who is aboard the Orion on his way to Australia to tour mines and visit the rocket range. "The Commonwealth certainly is not preparing for aggression against any country but she is preparing for war in the sense that if it should come, she will be read to face it," he added. "Another war is a possibility since everyone seems to be sitting surrounded by kegs of gunpowder which will go up if anyone applies a little fire to them, but 1 don't think any nation can be so foolish as to start another war when the world is in the state it is today.
