i The last organised training run : of the season was held at the : weekend, when nine riders from !the Otaki Ciub completed the trip ! to Waikanae and back, a distance jof 22 miles. The winner was E. jwaish, wTith W. Wilton second and !R. Hornig and P. Roach dead heat |for third. , The massed start was in operaItion and nine riders faced the istarter. In the run to the post (, three riders were abreast over tne ilast 300 yards, P. Roach and E. Walsh crossing together, with W. ; Wilton only a tyre away, closely : foilowed by R. Hornig, J. Meredith land D. Dakin. 1 On the sealed handicap Walsh 10 secS.) was the winner. Wilton (10 secs.) was second and Roach 1 (scr.) and Hornig (10 secs; . equal for third. Fastest time of 53 mins. was gained by Roach and Walsh. Points over the season for a cup Isaw a dead heat declared between D. Smith and E, Walsh with 11 points each. Points gained were as follows: D.
