MRS. RTJTH TOWNROW Residents of Otaki and 'district learnt with deep regret of the passmg of Mrs. Ruth Townrow, iwife of Mr. W. H. Townrow, of j Tasman Beach, at the age of1 50 'years. j During the three and a half i years she has resided in Otaki, 'Mrs. Townrow has evinced an jactive interest in the social life of the community, taking a promlinent part in the Otaki Women's Institute Drama and Singing |Circies, an'd in the Presbyterian iChurch choir. I Formerly of Dunedin, the deceased lady's quiet but charming personality quickly won friendships and, despite a prolonged illness, she maintaine'd a cheerful outlook, never complaining but bearing her reverse with great courage and fortitude. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved husband and grown-up family of three, one son having eariier lost his life on active service.
