Personal Mr. A. Bui'ke has relinquished his position" with the. Shannon Meat Conxpany and. is leaving to take up employment at' Patea. Mr. Jbhn Hateley, of Mangaore, left on Saturday mornlng for Auckland, where he will take up a position. Mr. . c. Lowden, . of 'the State Hydro Department, Mangaore is spending a week's boliday at Wanganui. Mr. Lowden expects to be transferredi to Bunnythorpe in the near future. Many Locals at Radio Ball Thg radio ball at Palmerston North on Friday night was a popular resort for local dancing enthusiasts, many cars making the trip. The two Shannon functions heldi.over the 'weekend were also well patronised. The Football Club's dance dn the Druids' Hall proved popular with the Shannon public, while the Moutoa Young Famerrs' function in the Moutod Hall attracted folks from that district.
