Despite the reeent beneficial rains, the store sheep market failed to show any upward movement. On the *contrary, the tendeney for ewes and lambs to • ease was not ehecked. For all that the market as ,a whole was a buoyant one with hoggets maintainixlg late rates. Good eonditioned hoggets were traded at 43s 3d to 45s 4d, the latter price being paid for a line pf good sheep. Small to medium wether hoggets realised 31s 3d to 41s. There was nothing very attraetive about the few pens of ewe hoggets included in tlie yarding of 3000 liead, values ranging from 35s to 43s 6d. Top price offered for ewes and lambs was 34s 6d for a draft which included the best lambs seen in the yards this season but this was declined as there was a 35s reserve. Other ewes and lambs sold at 24s 9d to 30s 8d. Forward eonditioned woolly wethers were traded at 50s to 54s and small mixed sexed shorn twotooths sold well at 32s lOd. The fat sheep market was strong. A single wether in prime order gave the sale'a buoyant start at 65s lOd. A pen of medium weight aged ewes off the shears, sold at 26s lld and three pens of shorn prime young ewes changed hands at 36s lOd to 42s lOd. Good hoggets sold from 40s lOd to 47s lOd.
