Received Wednesdav, 8.20 p.m. SYDN'EY, Oct. 0. Finishing brilliantly from the rear at the home tuni, Karachi won the Craven Plate at Raudwick today from the favourite Royal Andrew. Ridden perfectly, Royal Andrew opened a gnp of three Jengths at the Leger and looked a certain winner until Karachi put in a claim. Karachi started poorly but went rouud the outside to fourrh place into the straight. , In the Flight Htakes, Wattle led all the way to beat Sheba comfortably. She was lirst away and never looked like being headed. Results: — Flight Stakes: Wattle 8.1 (Cook) 1, ftlieba 8.7 (Moore) 2, lolanda 8.7 (Doon) 8. • Ten started. A length and a-quarter; neck. Time 1.38. Craven Plate: Karachi 8.11 (Cook) 1, Royal Andrew, 7.11 (Thompson) 2, Stamen, 0.0 (Maddock) 3. Six started. Two and a-half lengths; thre> lengths. Time 2.3.
