Reaffirming Spanish neutrality he told reporters that ttie eonelusions drawn from .M r. Gurnev's interview with General Eranco, were purely imaginative. The New York Times' Paris correspondent says the Serretary of State, Mr. Marshall. has proposed to the British Foreign Seeretary, .Mr. Bevin, and the French Foreign Minister, M. Sehuman. that I'nited Xations Assembly l>e asked to reseind the resolution adopted in Deeember, 194(5, which reeommeluled the withdrawal. of diplomatic missions from Spain. Mr. Bevin and M. Schuman are re[iorted to be hesitant to sponsor sucli action because of antagonism from the British and Freiich Socialist Parties. The Times adds that Mr. Marshall 's })roposal is r'egarded as the first step towArds Spain 's international rehabilitat ioji.
