Jaycee Volunteers Not Joining Union
9 AUCKLAND, Oct. 5. M'embers of the Auckland0 Junior Chamber of Commerce, if they go ahead with plans to form Saturday morning workihg parties to improve small areas of the city, will be asked to join .tiie Auckland Local Body Labourers' Union but they will refuse to join and intend to apply to the City Coune.il to make use of the piece of land they have in view. Their attitude is that they will not have been coopted by the Couneil but will be voluntecring and that there can be no legal obstacle to their activities if the Couneil 1 gives permission. The executive of the union has decided to recommend to its members who meet tomorrow niglit, that no objection be raised provided those members of the Junior Chamber *of Commerce join the union.
