Garden Circle's Monthly Outing

The outing arranged for the Otaki Women's Institute garden circle for September was to the home of Mrs. George Carter, in Bell Street. A goo'd muster of members was' welcomed by Mrs. P. Dimock, leader of the circle. who expre'ssed regret that a decorative demonstration arranged could not take place, the demonstrator being unabie to attend. Mrs. Dimock, having resigned her position as leader of the circle, Mrs. F. Hunter, was electe'd to succeed her, Mrs. Dimock's resignation being accepted with regret. Members spent the afternoon discussing matters of general interest and in inspecting Mrs. Carter's lovely garden. Afternoon tea was serve'4 and enjoyed, and helped to pass a very pleasant afternoon. A 'hearty vote of thanks was accorded the hostess, which it was announced that the next monh's outing would be to the home of Mrs. C. Walker, of Te Horo.
