Woman Injured By Hit And Run Motor-cyclist

A woman was knocked down by a hit and run motor-cyclist in Foxton at 7.35 p.m. on Friday. She is: Mrs. Kathleen Mclntyre, of Norbiton Road, Foxton. Mrs. Mclntyre was taken to the Palmerston North Hospital an'd has not yet recovered Consciousness. She was riding a bicyc^ in a southerly direction along AVehue. Road when a motor-cycle tufned into Avenue Road on its WTOng side. After hitting Mrs. Mclntyre, t-he rider of the motor-cycle did riot attempt to stop and ^made off in a northerly direction. As yet the police have' not been able to trace the motor-cyclist. The only clues to his idehtity are that he was riding what is thought m be an ex-army fndian machine, ■md that he Was carrying a pillion rider. Any persons who might be able to give any information, or who were1 in the vicinity at the time of the accident, are asked to contact their nearest Police Station.
