Beach Bowling Club's Opening
In spite of poor weather conditions, there was a large attendance at the Paraparaumu Beach Bowling Club's green last Saturday for the opening of the tenth season. The president, Mr. G. M. Stone, extended a cordial welcome to all present. The first jack was thrown up by the president's daughter, Mrs. Bruce, and the first bowl by Mr. W. Knight, one of the two life members of the club._, Among those present were Mr. J. Maher, M.P., and Mr. W. Hadwin, president of the . Wellington Bowling Centre, who congratulated the club upon the appearance of its greens. • .
