Copy right)

Eeceived Saturday, 12.40 a.m. PARIS, Oct. 1. China wanted the atomic bomb abolished, demolished and forbidden for ever, said Dr. Tingfu Tsiang, per; manent Chinese delegate to the United Nations, resuming the debate on atomic energy in the Political Committee. China was totally det'eneeless if hnyone should ever use the atomic bomb against her. He appealed to all nationS to accept "a certain minimum sacrificb of national sovereignty " which wa3 essential to any form of effieient Control. The chief Soviet delegate (Mr. Vyshinsky) accused the United States of ' ' throwing up a smokescreen to cover up an atomic bomb race," and of bloc-king all efforts to set up real control of the atom in order to maintain h mohopoly. Mr. Vyshinskv said the majority of the Commission were trying to put the eart before the horse by demanding international control of atomic energy before prohibiting its production. The United States was merely trying to confuse the peoples of the world. The Atomic Commission had not aceomplished a single one of the tasks assigned to it in two yearfc of work.
