Selection Of Fourth Grade Rugby Reps.
(To the Editor) Sir,— I wisfi through your paper to give my views on a certain matter with which I am deeply dissatisfied. It concerns the fourth grade representative team which is to play Wellington fifths at Wellington on Saturday. I have seen the list of players who are to go down there and notice that there are at least nine third grade members, two of whom were third grade representatives this year. I can safely say that I have been a constant follower of Horowhenua football for many years, and have been very satisfied with the way football has been conducted. Now, we have a bad case of blundering, for I consider that the fourth grade team was ba'dly matched a few weeks ago in Wellington. I think that if games for the fourth grade teams cannot be. arranged with teams of similar standing in Wellington, or other centres, it shows that lower grade football is not being encour.aged. After all, if a certain ofacial's words are to comc true, ±he lower grade teams must be looke'd after. Vnu rc pfp ''iJNION'S CHILDREN." Tokomaru, Sept. 29.
