Borough Council Meets
A special meeting of the Otaki Borough Council was held on Wednesday night. There were present the Mayor, Mr. C. F. Atmore, an'd Crs. N. B. Anderson, E. J. Cook, H. W. Hakaraia, G. McKinley, J. Retter and K. S. Ames. The .Mayor extended a wel'come to Cr. Ames and expressed the hope that he would have a pleasant and happy association with the council. Cr. Ames briefly replie'd. He was then elected to fill a vacancy on the finance committee. Mr. Atmore stated that the meeting had been cailed to consider objections from ratepayers to exclusion from the urban farm land list, and explained that the council .was empowere'd to prepare a 'new list each five years. The objections were discussed in committee.
