Third Paralysis Death In Wellington

WELLINGTON, Sept. 10. The third death from poliomyelitis 111 Wellington siiice the epidemic began a't hhe end of last November 'occurred in the Wellington Hospital last night, the victim oeing. a 36-year-old man. Dr. J. O. Mercer, pachologist and deputy superintendent-in-chief to ihe Wellington Hospital Bpard, said there were 57 patients in the Wellington Hospital suffering from poliomyelitis -today. Ip addition, four recent admissiohs were still in the suspect group. Of 57 in whoip a diagnosis had been established, 45 were in isolation and the remainder were earlier cases underspecial treament in the orthopaedic wards.
