Reactions Of Court Case On Church
WELLINGTON, Scpt. 7. Sinee the disturbance at the Commonwealth Covenant Church, Lower Hutt, on Sunday evening, the ieader of the church, Brother Frank Wilson has received numerous telephone calls including niention of further tiouble, according to a member of the congregation. Brother J. B. Katwell, a postman and member of the congregation, said today that the calls reecived by Brother Wilson had nearlv all been abusive and some had been senseless. Among them was a threat that the next disturbance would be bettcr organised. A further threat that had been made was that it was a good job the tomple was built of brick, otherwise xt would be burned down. The seeretary of the Hutt Valley H.S.A. Mr. j/ Johnston, said today that t'lie association had written to Brother Wilson to inquire if certani remarhs about a returned soldier alleged to have been made during last week 7s Supreme Court hearing which mentioned the church, had indeed been made.
