Shortly before the second truce in Palestine went into effect local Arabs in the Remleh district of the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway were blindfolded and taken through the Jewish lines for interrogation by Jewish security men. They are shown here under guard and in a bus. The last hours before the truce went into effect were used by both Jews and Arabs in feverishly consolidating their lines in preparation for the possibility of future hostilities.
